This is Dead Vlei, which is actually not Sossusvlei, although it is the most famous sight near Sossusvlei, so a lot of people call it Sossusvlei anyway. You can see from the many footprints that this is what attracts many visitors to Namibia in the first place. Don't despair, though, there is enough of it for everyone.
