Top tip for those of you who love insects (who doesn't?) and ignore my advice and go on a cruise in tropical waters anyway: If the ship goes anywhere close to land at night, the lights from the ship will attract all kinds of amazing flying bugs, and as soon as they realize that they've made a huge mistake, they'll settle down on the floor. This is a great opportunity to see them up close.
