One of the main attractions in Tehran is the Golestan Palace, which for some reason has become a World Heritage Site. While I could not find much unique about it, I did find the first of few examples of female breasts on public display there. It was pretty high up on a wall, so maybe that's how it has survived.

Anyway, there's surprisingly little to see inside the area known as Golestan Palace. The park itself is quite nice and the facades of the buildings are somewhat impressive. Do spend the 150,000 riyals for the main entrance ticket, but you will not miss much if you drop paying the extra fees (of about the same per building) to enter the various buildings there.

Blant hovedattraksjonene i Teheran er Golestanpalasset, omtrent midt i byen. Av en eller annen grunn har det fått status som verdensarv. Jeg fant lite unikt ved stedet, men jeg oppdaget i det minste det første av svært få kvinnebryst til offentlig skue i Iran. De hang høyt på en vegg, og har kanskje overlevd på grunn av det.

Det er overraskende lite å se inne på verdensarvområdet. Bruk gjerne 150 000 riyaler på å gå inn og se på parken og fasadene, men du går glipp av fint lite om du dropper å betale den ekstra tilleggsbilletten som kreves for hver bygning du faktisk går inn i.
