Mange av moskéene i Diyarbakır står i all sin enkelhet i skarp kontrast mot hva man typisk finner i Tyrkia. Kurdistan er et oljerikt område, så det falt seg sikkert naturlig å bruke gamle oljefat til å konstruere denne minareten.		Many of the mosques in Diyarbakır are notably basic in their architecture, especially compared to what you typically find elsewhere in Turkey. Kurdistan is an area rich on oil, so I suppose that using an old oil barrel to construct this minaret was an obvious choice to someone.
